This is an original antique printing of "The Chicago Daily News Almanac and Year-Book for 1915" compiled by James Lawrence, and issued by The Chicago Daily News Company. This is the 31st almanac they issued, and has a 1914 copyright. The book is 728 pages long, and contains dozens of wonderful ads from Chicago companies, as well as everything you'd want to know about the world of 1914/1915! In the preface, the author states that "in addition to the regular statistical and other annual features, much material relating to the European war is presented. . . many questions, especially as to its origin and early progress, will come up in the future. It is with a view to answering such questions that most of the war data given in this volume have been compiled." Also, "the story of the trouble between the United States and Mexico, involving the capture and temporary occupation of Vera Cruz, is told at some length."
